Itphy (Co-CEOs Sung-Min Rhee & Jae-Jun Lee), the company developing the digital healthcare service 'RINGDOC,' announced on the 19th that it has secured a 300 million KRW seed investment from Korea Investment Accelerator.
Itphy plans to use the investment to enhance the technology behind RINGDOC and expand its workforce to improve service quality. The company is currently accelerating development with the goal of launching the official version of RINGDOC by the end of this year.
Founded in 2022, Itphy is a startup specializing in personalized rehabilitation programs that directly connect patients and doctors, with a focus on preventing the recurrence of musculoskeletal diseases. Through RINGDOC, users can receive tailored exercise plans that align with their hospital diagnosis and rehabilitation stages, enabling systematic rehabilitation management. This service enhances both rehabilitation efficiency and patient convenience.
RINGDOC is focused on creating a curriculum that yields clinically significant results, utilizing research outcomes from Sung-Min Rhee, a professor of orthopedic surgery at Kyung Hee University Hospital. The service was tested on 400 patients who underwent rotator cuff repair surgery over a period of six months. The results demonstrated a clinically proven improvement in recovery speed and pain reduction by over 20%.
Itphy has strengthened its collaboration with Kyung Hee University Medical Science Research Institute and Modern Pilates by signing an MOU in April of last year, aiming to develop specialized rehabilitation programs. The company is also participating in the Initial Startup Package and the Startup Growth Technology Development R&D Program this year. Additionally, Itphy was selected for the 'Dream Challenger' BarunDonghaeng 6th Program by Korea Investment Accelerator, focusing on business enhancement.
Sung-Min Rhee and Jae-Jun Lee, co-CEOs of Itphy, stated, "Based on the clinical research results, we plan to officially release the full version of RINGDOC by December this year. We hope that RINGDOC will provide effective rehabilitation management services not only in orthopedics but also across various healthcare settings." They added, "With this investment, we will focus on technological enhancement and explore strategies for expanding into international markets."
